The name Tenmore comes from a moment long before this business existed. In high school, I climbed Mount Antero in Colorado - one of the state’s 14,000-foot peaks—with my youth group. Our guides took away our phones and watches, leaving us with no sense of time or distance. Every time we asked how much farther, when the next break was, or how close we were to the summit, the answer was always the same: “Just ten more.”
That phrase stayed with me. That trip was the moment I fell in love with travel, the outdoors, and the mountains. It led me to live in Wyoming, to backpack through Europe, and to keep saying yes to places I didn’t fully understand yet. I learned that the most meaningful experiences don’t always come with a clear map but you just keep moving forward, trusting the journey.
Tenmore represents that mindset. It’s about embracing the unknown, staying present, and being willing to go a little farther than you thought you could. The best trips aren’t defined by how quickly you arrive, but by what you discover along the way, one “ten more” at a time.
